I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
